Hamburg Area Middle School 6th through 8th grade band students participated in Lebanon Valley College Bandfest on Jan. 12.
Hamburg Middle School participating students included Delani Remp, Alto Sax, grade 8; Lucas Blatt, Alto Sax, grade 7; Collin Reppert, Alto Sax, grade 6; ZoeAnn Metcalfe, Baritone (B.C.), grade 6; Grace Gilberg, Bass Clarinet, grade 7; Aaliyah Stump, Bass Clarinet, grade 7; Gabriela Gilbert, Flute, grade 8; Esther Metcalfe, French Horn, grade 8; John Gilberg, Oboe, grade 6; Cleon Garl, Percussion, grade 7; Tyler Gingrich, Percussion, grade 7; Ben Bracy, Trombone, grade 6; Jacob Fegley, Trumpet, grade 8; Sarah Smith, Clarinet, grade 8; and Makayla Rioux, Clarinet, grade 8.
Bandfest is organized and run by the college students in National Association for Music Education Chapter 146 at Lebanon Valley College. Band students participate in all-day band rehearsal in a large ensemble setting including students from around the area. Band Directors who bring students also serve as mentors for the college students. Concert was held that night at 7 p.m.
