Fleetwood resident Roderick Kendricks, Jr., 30, was killed after losing control of his vehicle, which was discovered rolled over in a field in Richmond Township on Jan. 22.
Fleetwood Borough Police report that officers were called to the 700 block of Fleetwood Lyons Road in Richmond Township at 6:54 a.m. on Jan. 22 for a motor vehicle accident. A vehicle had been discovered rolled-over onto its passenger side in a field.
Fleetwood Police report that the investigation determined that a 1997 Lexus ES300 driven by Kendricks was traveling eastbound on Fleetwood Lyons Road at an unknown speed when the vehicle crossed over into the westbound lane, then onto the shoulder for unknown reason. The vehicle then traveled off the shoulder and proceeded into a field where it began to roll over. The Lexus came to rest on its passenger side in the field.
Kendricks was fatally injured. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
The vehicle sustained heavy damage.
Fleetwood EMS, Fleetwood Fire Company, Walnuttown Fire Company and Lyons Fire Company assisted at the scene of the accident.
Fleetwood Police report that this incident is still under investigation.
