Pokemon League (Jan. 30, Feb. 2): 5 to 7 p.m. Trading Card Games to earn points for Promo Cards and Badges. Challenge other Pokemon Trading Card Game fans to matches. All ages and experience levels are welcome. No cost involved.

Through Jan. 29Kutztown Area Historical Society Model Railroad: Open House will be held Sundays Jan. 15, 22, 29, 1-3 p.m. at Normal Avenue and Whiteoak Street in Kutztown. The highly detailed, 500 square foot HO scale model railroad will be open for visitors young and old. A bustling city, amusement park, rural countryside, bridges, mountains, lakes, and streams are all on display. Children can have fun with interactive controls for Thomas the Tank and other trains. Feb. 4Public hoedown: at Huff’s Union Church, 540 Conrad Road, Alburtis, on Saturday, Feb. 4 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. (bad weather date Feb. 18). Paul Adam and the “Days of Old” band will lead the action in the upstairs of the Rohrbach chapel, across Conrad Road from the church. Free snacks and drinks will be provided. (soft soled shoes please)
