Kutztown Community Partnership will host its annual meeting at Trinity Lutheran church on Feb. 15. All residents are invited to attend and offer comments and questions.

For the second time the organization of the year award will be presented. This honor is given to any organization that contributes to the Kutztown community in a significant way during the previous year. The KCP volunteer of the year award will be bestowed for the third time. A KCP volunteer will receive this acknowledgment for going above and beyond in furthering KCP’s mission.

KCP is an independent non-profit organization founded to help build communication and cooperation between elements of the community such as schools, businesses, townspeople, students and the university. Among its many activities, KCP runs special events including Main Street Clean Up, Kutztown Strong, Community Block Party, Kutztown Kruizz and Community Meet and Greet.

During the meeting, operation chairs will cite their accomplishments for the year. KCP president Jerry Schearer will explain KCP’s activities for the past year and goals for 2017 and the budget will be detailed. An open question and answer session will follow.

The meeting will start at 6 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran church 357 West Main Street. There will be light refreshments. RSVP at KCP@hometownu.com.
