Every contribution- monetary or otherwise — helps to keep things moving along at Meals on Wheels.

Boyertown resident Brent Harris, a realtor with Re-Max Achievers of Collegevillle, knows how essential the program is to those who utilize it. He volunteered at the program about five years ago and said one of the things he enjoyed most about the experience was meeting the seniors and hearing their stories.

On Tuesday morning, Feb. 7, Harris presented the Boyertown Multi-Service with a check in the amount of $5,000 to benefit Meals on Wheels.

“It’s a great thing they do here,” he said. “I couldn’t think of a better cause than to donate money towards this.”

Meals on Wheels Case Manager Diane Joyce and Multi-Service Executive Director Karen Youse accepted the check on behalf of the program. Youse confirmed the funds would be used for the designated program.
