Bargain-priced goods and home-baked treats will be available at Salem EC Church on Friday and Saturday, March 3 and 4, during the church’s annual yard sale. The event will be held rain or shine in the church’s indoor gymnasium.
Hours for the sale are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. Items for sale will include a wide variety of housewares, clothing, toys and games, books, furniture and other unique finds. Hot soups, made by church members, and a selection of cakes and other sweets will also be sold.
Organizers have spent weeks sorting through items donated for the sale, ensuring electronics are in working order and that used items are in good condition. Donations from the community are accepted, although televisions are not. To arrange a donation, contact the church office (610.562.5033) by Monday, February 27.
Prices are always low at this yard sale, and all proceeds benefit the local ministries as well as Salem EC Church programs like Time Out (a free night for kids one Friday a month) and Centershot archery classes. The church also has active small groups and church-wide activities in addition to a weekly Sunday worship service (9 am) and Sunday school for all ages (10:30 am).
Salem EC Church is located at 2150 Old Route 22, midway between Hamburg and Lenhsrtsville. Visitors are always welcome at all Salem events.
