During the recent Feb. 21 Troopers Lodge Dinner and Legislative Reception at the Roman Delight Restaurant near Orwigsburg, 12 retired members of Trooper Melley Lodge were honored for their combined service of more than 280 years with the Pennsylvania State Police.

The recently separated department members, who each received recognition from the National Fraternal Order of Police, the Pennsylvania State Troopers Association, the National Troopers Coalition, the Pennsylvania State Lodge, and Trooper Melley Lodge at the event, were David M. Mayes of Pine Grove, Michael J. Kowalick of Sinking Spring, Chris M. Boehmer of Bethel, Edward J. Lizewski of Pine Grove, Barry L. Whitmoyer of Sinking Spring, Mark S. Tice of Lebanon, Brian K. Bray of Lebanon, Kevin J. Brennan of Minersville, Robert W. Herb of Harrisburg, David M. Takach of Harrisburg, James J. Marasco of Blandon, and Paul M. Smith of Wyomissing.

Also, ten members of the Pennsylvania General Assembly were among those present at the annual event honoring former members of the Pennsylvania State Police for their service with the Commonwealth. Argall of Berks and Schuylkill Counties; State Representative Francis X. Ryan of Lebanon County; State Representative Neal P. Goodman of Schuylkill County; State Representative Mark M. Gillen of Lancaster and Berks Counties; State Representative Michael G. Tobash of Dauphin and Schuylkill Counties; State Representative Ryan E.
