The greatest show on earth lives on through The Bally Hotel’s Irish Wake- bringing its 43rd year of great food, entertainment, and service. This year’s Irish Wake will not only stimulate the mind and body, but also the soul.

Forget about everyday life for a while from March 16 through March 19 and enjoy the party that the Bally Hotel has been known for since the mid 70’s. With the parking lot encapsulated in a circus size heated tent, we are able to bring the experience of a big city affair to Bally.

There will be entertainment until the early morning hours; two stages will host The Whiskeyhicken Boys, Chesnut Grove, Bagpiper Ken Annand, and numerous of the area’s best bands, along with the “Wake DJ” DJ Johnny A, For a full entertainment schedule, stop by or check out our website at www.TheBallyHotel.com.

A variety of eclectic Irish fare will be worked into an extensive menu which is prepared by the kitchen staff, and will be served from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Along with good food, special desserts will be provided by the resident pastry chef “Mom Paula” and will reflect the season with the unique use of Irish whiskey and beers. The bar will extend into the tent, where we will offer some popular brews and elixirs.

We set one special day aside for families. On Sunday, Family Fun Day is designed to include the whole family in the St. Patrick’s Day Celebration. Celtic Dancers put on two performances and instruct children between sets. High noon brings the Coffin Races– this is where locals build coffin shaped, man-powered carts and race for the coveted “Coffin Cup.” Throughout the day we offer kid friendly fare (hot dogs and hamburgers) under the tent for a convenient and cost effective option. Free arts and crafts provided by the hotel and kiddy games will also be featured to occupy children. Kids Karaoke provided by our Wake DJ will finish off the day. The tent will be still providing adult beverages on Sunday.

As always, The Bally Hotel is grateful to the Bally Lions Club for their continued support and help with the event and many others throughout the year. To show our community support, we asked the Lions Club to provide our patrons with no-so-traditional Irish garb at the doors in exchange for donations.
