Marijuana found in teen’s vehicle during Fleetwood traffic stop

Four Fleetwood teens were taken into police custody after marijuana and related paraphernalia were discovered in their vehicle during a traffic stop on March 18.

Fleetwood Police report that at 11:10 p.m. on March 18, officers observed a vehicle without its headlights turned on driving along Main Street in Fleetwood. Police initiated a traffic stop at the intersection Main and Beech streets.

The police investigation determined that the driver, age 17, Fleetwood, was not properly licensed. In the vehicle, police found marijuana, an electric scale, packaging materials and other related paraphernalia.

Police impounded the vehicle. Two 17-year-old boys from Fleetwood, a 16-year-old girl from Blandon and a 15-year-old girl from Fleetwood were taken into custody and transported to Fleetwood Police Station. The teens’ parents were informed about the incident and allowed to take custody.

Charges are pending receipt of laboratory analysis.
