A missing Mertztown man was found deceased near his car, which was parked on a private lane in Rockland Township, on Sunday.
State Police Reading report that Dallas Angstadt, 84, was reported missing on Friday afternoon, March 17 at 12:45 p.m. A Missing Endangered Person Advisory System alert was activated.
Family and friends asked for help finding him via Facebook and fliers.
On Sunday, March 19, at about 2:39 p.m., Angstadt was found deceased near his Honda Civic which was located on a private lane near the intersection of Fredericksville Road and Shady Creek Lane, Rockland Township.
Police report that the preliminary investigation shows that it appears Angstadt died of exposure.
