Shoemakersville Lions Club donates to Zion’s Community Garden, feeding those in need

Shoemakersville Area Lions Club President Brian Moroney presented a check for $300 to Eileen Puglia, Zion Lutheran Church Council President for Zion’s Community Garden, which provides food for the Hamburg Area residents who are in need. Mrs. Puglia was also the speaker for the Ladies Night held on Thursday, March 23, at Hoss’s Steak and Seafood House, Leesport. Mrs. Puglia spoke on scrapbooking, and explained how to scrapbook and gave tips on how to get started in scrapbooking.

The Shoemakersville Area Lions Club is assembling a scrapbook of the history of the Lions Club and are asking for pictures from former members or family members. Contact Lion Secretary Gary Rothermel if you have pictures or newspaper articles about the Shoemakersville Area Lions Club.
