Clothes caught fire in a dryer at Hamburg Coin Laundry, located at 552 State Street in Hamburg, on Sunday, March 26, at 5:48 p.m.
The small fire was put out quickly but firefighers remained on scene for a while clearing the smoke and ensuring the fire didn’t spread into the ductwork.
There was smoke damage to the building and to the adjoining businesses. There was also a pile of burned clothing.
Fire companies on scene were Hamburg, Strausstown, Shoemakersville, Virginville and Temple.
