Fleetwood Girl Scout Brownie Troop 1956 visited Busy Bees Pottery to earn their Brownie Pottery Badge.
“Our Brownie Scouts became Litter Potters last night!” said their Troop Leader, Misty Steinert.
The girls learned about clay, where it can be found and what types of things can be made with it such as false teeth and toilets.
The girls each had an opportunity to make a pinch pot out of clay. Then they personalized their pots by using carving tools, straws and other various items to stamp designs on them. Next, they added a splash of paint and prepared their pots for the kiln. Hopefully, they will see the final results of their hard work in a week or two.
