Shoemakersville Area Lions Club sponsored an Easter Egg Hunt for families on Saturday, April 15 at the Perry Township Recreational Area.

Assisting at the egg hunt were Lions Harry Sproesser, Kenneth Schlegel, Irwin Levan, Lions Easter Bunny, David Geschwindt, Pat Daly, Gary Rothermel and Cleta Borkey.

Each child received a container of candy and a chance to win chocolate Easter Rabbits. Winners in the different age groups received stuffed animals. Adult women and men winners received monetary prizes.

The next project of the Shoemakersville Area Lions Club is a Kauffman’s Chicken Barbecue on Sunday, May 7, at the Pavilion of the Sboemakersville Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For $8 you receive half chicken, baked potato, apple sauce, beverage and roll and butter. Members of the Shoemakersville Area Lions Club have tickets for your purchase.
