Boyertown High School’s graduating class of 1947 met on Friday, May 5, at Brookside Family Restaurant, Pottstown, for the celebration of the 70th year of their high school graduation.
Eighteen members of the class attended. Each member explained what they’re doing presently, where they’re living, and highlights they remembered from their high school days. All in attendance received a pen engraved with “Boyertown High School Class of 1947,” and each class member received a coffee mug filled with green and white starlight mints (to represent the class colors), and a booklet listing addresses of class members, a memorial list of those departed, and interesting facts and figures about their high school days.
Members of the committee planning the reunion were: Roy and Marie Geiger, Madlyn Sands, John Hilbert, Jane Roth, Irene Augustine, Betty Sturdevant, and Esther McFarland.
