Thirty-eight students from Boyertown junior High East recently attended the Youth and Government conference in Harrisburg. They had their second bill passed in our five year club history. Alexis Moll who sponsored a Bill requiring businesses to have parking space for pregnant mothers and for mothers of infants. Kristin Stauffer co-sponsored this bill.

Former East students who are now part of the YMCA program passed bills. They were Kasey Roberts, Kaitlin Haggert, and Colin Black. Kasey and Colin were also named to CONA the Conference on National Affairs. The biggest news of the weekend was that former East student Colin Black won the race for PA Youth Governor.

Alyssa Kane acted as the only East student in the Press Corps and took photographs of the event.
