Special needs students throughout the district took part in the event took part in Daniel Boone’s Special Olympic Games on Wednesday, May 10. In addition, more than 100 volunteers from Daniel Boone High School participated in the event.
Each district school was recognized during the opening ceremonies which included a parade of athletes with their buddies. In lieu of a torch, a balloon release was held to kick off the event held at Daniel Boone Senior High School football stadium. Students were then divided into heats and made their way to each of the stations set up throughout the field.
