Cabela’s will celebrate Memorial Day, and honor those who serve our nation and community, with an in-store Hometown Heroes event Saturday, May 20, and Sunday, May 21.
In addition to free, in-store activities, all active military and veterans, law enforcement, firefighters and emergency services personnel will be offered increased discounts on in-store purchases during the event. Some military and first responder organizations will have displays and booths at the event, as well.
“We owe a debt of gratitude to the extraordinary men and women who serve our country and communities,” said Ron Leh, Retail Marketing Manager at the Hamburg store. “Our Hometown Heroes event is a way to show our appreciation for their dedication to helping others.”
Free, in-store activities hosted by Cabela’s throughout the Hometown Heroes event will include Hometown Heroes Vehicle Showcase (Front of store beginning at 10 a.m. Guest appearances 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; as their schedule allows, will include Gary Gallerie and the Freedom Express, Berks County Sheriff K9 Unit, Keystone Wounded Warriors, Hamburg Ambulance, Valley Bloodhound, Alpha Search & Rescue, Berks County Veterans Center, Pennsylvania Mobile Veterans Outreach Van, Patriot Guard Riders, Veterans Foreign Wars, Red Ball Express, Union Fire Company, Shoemakersville Fire Company, Marine Corps League, Adventures With Vets, Special Forces Association, and United States Coast Guard Auxilary.
Cabela’s currently offers its everyday Legendary Salute discount of 5 percent to active military and veterans. As a way of celebrating Memorial Day and saying “thank you” to those who serve, the company will offer an increased discount on in-store purchases throughout the Hometown Heroes event.
All active military and veterans, law-enforcement, firefighters and emergency services personnel will receive a discount of 5 percent on any in-stock firearms and ammo and a 10-percent discount on other in-stock products, including sale and clearance items. A valid military ID, badge or other proof of eligibility must be presented at the time of purchase to receive the discount. Some restrictions apply.
