Railroad excursion to offer view of Pottstown Memorial Day parade featuring Budweiser Clydesdales

As part of its annual Salute to the Troops, the Colebrookdale Railroad, will be supporting the Pottstown Memorial Day events. A special reduced fare train to see the famous Budweiser Clydesdales has been scheduled for Memorial Day, May 29.

The 8:30 a.m. departure from Boyertown will arrive about 9:30 a.m. at Pottstown’s Memorial Park. The train is scheduled to provide passengers with an opportunity to find a viewing place on the High Street, the parade route, to view the parade, attend the Memorial Day Service at the Vietnam Memorial on the island in Memorial Park, and get an up-close look at the Budweiser Clydesdales.

Passengers can park in the Boyertown yard, travel stress-free to Pottstown and back without having to be concerned about traffic or parking.

Fares are reduced by 1/3 for this special run. Military veterans and members of the military, with ID, will receive a discount which can be used to ride this excursion free or be used as a discount for an upgraded ride. Military or veteran ids are required.
