Fleetwood Girl Scout Amanda Oross received the Good Citizenship Award. Oross was among 300 young men and women honored as “Good Citizens” by the Youth Work Foundation of The Union League of Philadelphia at their 71st Annual Good Citizen Day on May 10.

These students were representing 50 youth-service organizations throughout the Greater Philadelphia region. Linda Yuengel, Fleetwood Girl Scout Service Unit Manager, nominated Oross to represent Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania because of her outstanding service to her sister Girl Scouts, her school and her community.

Oross was presented with this prestigious award and attended a day of workshops and small group discussion on the responsibilities of being a citizen. The sessions explored the legislative, judicial, and executive branches of the government at Philadelphia’s City Hall.
