CUMRU TOWNSHIP >> The Animal Rescue League of Berks County will celebrate Y102 morning show host, Andi Kurzweg’s birthday with a very special event on Wednesday, July 19, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The celebration includes special adoption fees for dogs and cats and other fun festivities.
Adoption fees for dogs 1 year old and older will be $83.00, priced to celebrate the year Kurzweg was born, 1983. Adoptions fees for all cats and kittens will be waived for the birthday bash. Kurzweg will host an Y102 live broadcast at the ARL from 11:00am-3:00pm, sponsored by Peach Tree Cremation LLC. Other birthday bash events at the ARL include a bounce house provided by Above the Clouds LLC, Nettie Price’s Sparkling Art Mobile, complimentary desserts from Sweet Street, and pizza compliments of Paradise by the Slice.
“Andi’s Birthday Bash is an incredible opportunity for the animals of our shelter to find a new home,” stated Liz McCauley, Executive Director of the ARL. “We are grateful Andi chose to celebrate her birthday among her two and four-legged friends of the ARL and we thank Peach Tree Cremation Services, LLC for sponsoring Andi’s Y102 live remote. The ARL is not normally open on a Wednesday, but what a better way to celebrate her birthday with extended hours and a chance to help adopters find their next family friend.”
In lieu of birthday gifts, Kurzweg has requested donations of much needed items for the ARL such as pill pockets, pee pads, kitten food, kitten formula, Nyla bones and cat litter. The ARL’s entire wish list can be viewed at <http://www.berksarl.org/how-to-help/wish-list>.
