AMITY >> Police are investigating after a two women allegedly robbed a victim at knifepoint after tying her up early Friday morning.

Amity Police said in a Facebook post Friday that they are investigating an incident that occurred on the 1200 block of East Benjamin Franklin Highway (Route 422) at around 5:40 a.m. on Friday, July 14.

Police said the 26-year-old female victim stated that she was inside the home when she was robbed at knifepoint by two unknown female suspects. One of the suspects took the victim’s Samsung Galaxy cell phone while she was tied up with an extension cord, police said. The victim reported that both suspects repeatedly asked the victim for money before fleeing the home in an unknown direction minutes later.

The victim was not injured during the incident, police said.

The first suspect was described as a white female in her mid-20s, approximately 5-feet, 6-inches to 5-feet, 7-inches tall, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and a black bandanna covering her face. The second suspect is described as a light skinned black female, slightly shorter than the first, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and a black bandanna covering her face. Police said the second suspect was armed with a knife and a hammer.
