The Boyertown Branch of Tompkins VIST Bank recently donated a total of $2,500 to four local organizations in the Boyertown community. In a promotion that the branch ran earlier this year, if a new customer opened a qualifying checking account and met other specified criteria Tompkins VIST Bank would make a $50 donation on the customer’s behalf to a local non-profit. The customer could then choose between the United Way of Boyertown, the Colebrookdale Railroad, the Boyertown Area Multi-Service or the Boyertown YMCA to receive the donation.

“We were pleasantly surprised with how many customers took us up on the offer,” said Boyertown Branch Manager Lori Carnes. “It is one of our goals here at Tompkins VIST Bank to become an active member of the Boyertown community by giving back whenever possible.”
