Much attention and comments on Facebook have drawn people to a field in Elverson where numerous sunflowers are in bloom.

Rick Frey, owner of Please Wash Me Carwash, 1 Yingst Dr., Elverson, plants the field every year for the past couple of years.

“Every year this is my gift to the community,” Frey has told Tri County Record in the past. “Two local farmer neighbors help me. Gary Stoltzus preps and fertilizes the field which is right next to the car wash, then David Mast sows the sunflower seeds and the wait is on.”
