Aug. 19Heatherwood Retirement Community in Honey Brook hosts “A Night to Remember:” at Heatherwood, located at 3180 Horseshoe Pike, from 4 – 7 p.m. to raise funds for the Honey Brook Food Pantry. Dinner buffet, live entertainment by The Red Satins, as well as prize drawings. Tickets are $8 per person or $14 per couple, with all proceeds going to the food bank. Tickets can be purchased in advance at Heatherwood Retirement Community, Hickory House Nursing Home and the Honey Brook Library. Aug. 25Community Dinner: St. Peter United Church of Christ, Route 23, Knauertown will hold a community dinner on Friday, August 25th from 5:30 to 7 pm. The menu has not been determined. Aug. 26Tri-County Heritage Society, Morgantown, WWII program: rescheduled from June 6 to Aug. 26, held in Community Room of Caernarvon Township Municipal Building, 3307 Main St., Morgantown, 1 to 4 p.m. Free. Society researched 75 WWII veterans listed on Caernarvon Twp. War Memorial War Memorial at American Legion in Joanna. They compiled a booklet along with additional biographies of local and society member WWII veterans, as well as other historical information. World War II memorabilia displays, period music, Rosie the Riveter contest (come dressed as the iconic woman worker of the period to win a prize), cake walk at 2 p.m., raffle, silent auction of WWII military items and vintage items from the 1940s. Light refreshments will be served and there will be door prizes.

Aug. 26Honey Brook Music Fest: 4:30 to 10 p.m. at Honeybrook Golf Club and Greenside Grill. Benefits Honey Brook Food Pantry. Performances: new and classic rock by The Floats! at 4:45 p.m., country by Sam Schmidthuber at 5:30 p.m., folk rock and blues by Rosewood Trio at 6:30 p.m., and rock n’ roll by Larry Roney Band at 8 p.m. Tickets for sale at Honeybrook Golf Club and Greenside Grill, limited tickets available.

Sept. 11Constitution class: held at St. Paul’s UMC, 1136 Geigertown Road, Birdsboro. Starting Sept. 11, class will be held every Monday starting at 6 p.m. and will last 10 weeks. Open to the public.
