Mother Nature has really played havoc with automotive enthusiasts this year as numerous events have been rained-out, rescheduled or held in less than desirable conditions with dismal turn-outs. That was definitely NOT the case for the 19th Annual Auto Show promoted by Shoemakersville Boy Scout Troop #163 at the Perry Twp. Recreation Area this past Sunday, Aug. 13.

The fine weather prompted over 150 cars, trucks and motorcycles to pour onto the field for the annual event and vie for the 80+ trophies that were awarded in 27 classes.

Stacey Strausser, BSA Troop #163 secretary, reported that over 50 area businesses sponsor awards and/or donate door prizes for the car show which is the largest event of the year for the local scouts. Proceeds from the show fund the scout troop activities for the upcoming year.
