NORTH COVENTRY >> Police have charged a man after he allegedly displayed a handgun to a victim on Route 422 Sunday.
Thomas Holland, 44, of Barto, Berks County, was arrested Sunday after a victim called police to report the incident.
North Coventry Police said that at approximately 12:16 p.m. on Sunday, they responded to the area of Route 100 and Route 422 East for a road rage incident where a gun was displayed. It was reported that “a man in a gold Chevrolet Tahoe pointed a handgun at the victim and continued to travel eastbound on Route 422.”
Police stopped the vehicle in Limerick and a 9 mm handgun was recovered from Holland, police said. Police have not specified what circumstances may have led to the incident.
Holland was arrested on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person, possession of a weapon and disorderly conduct.
He was arraigned on Aug. 20 before District Judge Michael J. Cabry III and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Sept. 11 before District Judge Leonard J. Brown. He was unable to post the set $50,000 cash bail and is being held at Chester County Prison.
