Twin Valley Community Education Foundation accepting nominations for Community Leadership Awards

The Twin Valley Community Education Foundation is accepting nominations for the annual Community Leadership Awards. Deadline for nominations is Oct. 7.

The Community Leadership Awards are given for Lifetime Achievement, Twin Valley School District Alumnus, Community Educator, Community Volunteer, Community Business, and Rising Star (for ages 16-21). Winners are recognized at TVCEF’s Annual Gala which will be held on Nov. 10.

Any individual may nominate any person living or working in the Twin Valley community which includes southern Berks and northern Chester Counties. The alumni nominee must be a graduate of Twin Valley High School, but does not need to currently live in the school district. Nomination forms are found online at www.tvcef.org. Nominations may be submitted by mail or email.

In every community there are people who make noteworthy contributions either through their personal or professional activities. These are people who go “above and beyond” the normal contributions made by others and are deemed leaders in the community. The Twin Valley Community Education Foundation (TVCEF) aims to identify and recognize the endeavors and achievements of these community leaders.

The Twin Valley Community Education Foundation (TVCEF) presented the 2016 Community Leadership Awards to the following individuals: Jon Malsnee, Esq., Pamela Shupp, Jena Mable, AJ Blosenski Trash and Recycling Services, Tiffany Witman, and Kelly Loughery. These winners were recognized at TVCEF’s 15th Annual Gala on Friday, Nov. 11, 2016.

TVCEF is a non-profit organization providing support to Twin Valley schools, students, and the community in Berks and Chester counties. The mission of the Twin Valley Community Education Foundation is to serve as a link between business, the school district, and the community to provide educational, cultural, and recreational opportunities. TVCEF provides annual grants to Twin Valley schools, scholarships to students, and community programs and classes.
