POTTSTOWN >> Police are looking for a missing man who was last seen Oct. 2.

Pottstown Police said Tuesday that they are asking for the public’s help in locating Alexander Thorpe, 76, of Pottstown. Thorpe was described as a black male standing 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing 180 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

Thorpe drives a black Acura RL with the registration DXA-8526. He suffers from signs of dementia and has medical needs that need to be addressed several times a week, police said.

Thorpe was last seen at 5:30 p.m. on Monday when he left in his vehicle. He was last seen wearing a black spring jacket, flannel shirt, jeans, black hat and he wears glasses.

Pennsylvania State Police have activated a “Silver Alert.

Anyone who locates Thorpe is asked to call 911. Anyone who has seen Thorpe since Monday but does not know his present location is asked to contact the Pottstown Police at 610-970-6570.
