The members of Living God Lutheran Church in Honey Brook would like to invite the public to come to an Oktoberfest celebration at the church on Saturday, October 28th, from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Not only will we be celebrating Oktoberfest but we will also be joining in the worldwide celebration of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation as well a celebration of the 24th anniversary of Living God Lutheran Church.

This year’s activities will include games and activities for children and adults including barrel train rides for children, bean bag toss, scavenger hunt on our walking trail and other activities. Of course, a menu of authentic German foods prepared by the wonderful cooks in our church will be available. This food will be available on a take-out or eat-in basis. We will also have a limited beer tasting event including some local home-brewed beer. Musical entertainment will include a musical ministry by the Roland Zimmerman Family from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This very talented family is a family ministry from Lancaster County that performs “down home” gospel music including bluegrass, old time country and folk styles. Other Oktoberfest style music will also be playing throughout the day. A raffle and silent auction will also be held for various prizes and gift baskets.

So please mark your calendars and consider joining us on Saturday, October 28th, at Living God Lutheran Church, 3200 Horseshoe Pike (Route 322), Honey Brook, PA, anytime between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. for this fun-filled event. We are certain you will not regret it and may God bless you and your loved ones.

You are also welcome to join us on Sunday, October 29th, for a worship celebration of the Reformation and the anniversary of the church beginning at 9:30 a.m. with fellowship after the service.
