POTTSTOWN >> PennDOT has announced that part of King Street will be closed for railroad repairs.

Colebrookdale Railroad is planning to close Route 663 (King Street) between Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) and Manatawny Street in Pottstown from 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, to 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 23, for railroad crossing repair and resurfacing operations.

During the closure, Route 663 (King Street) motorists will be directed to use Manatawny Street, State Street and Route 100 (Pottstown Pike).

Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
