Gun missing

AMITY >> On October 12 at approximately 2:42 p.m., Amity Township Police received a report of a lost gun. It was reported that the individual went to the French Creek outdoor shooting range on Oct. 7 to shoot shotguns and pistols. At the end of the event, the individual and a friend gathered the firearms and left the range. On Oct. 8, the individual discovered a handgun was missing, police said. It was verified through the Pennsylvania Game Commission that no firearms were found or turned in at the range. The weapon is described as a Smith & Wesson, model M7T40C, .40 Caliber semiautomatic pistol with serial #DTK5471. The firearm has a black handle with a silver slide. The handgun was entered into CLEAN/NCIC as stolen OCA #0721-2017. Investigation continues. Vandalism
PENNSBURG >> Two teens have been arrested after police said they spray painted Swastikas and offensive language on windows at Upper Perkiomen Valley High School on Oct. 7. Charged were Alex Mercon, 19, with institutional vandalism and criminal mischief and Jake Buck, 18, with defiant trespassing, according to reports.
Burglary report

HONEY BROOK >> Police are investigating a burglary that was reported at 1044 Reservoir Road between Sept. 15 and Sept. 17. Upon investigation, police determined that unknown suspects stole a black and silver 1990 Chevrolet C/K 1500 pickup truck. Police said the vehicle was stolen from an enclosed vehicle storage lot. Theft by deception

HONEY BROOK >> State Police are investigating a reported theft that occurred on Sept. 12. Police said the suspect posted an ad on Craigslist to sell a 1999 Fleetwood Southwind RV for $4,000. After the victim wire the suspect money, the RV was never deliver, police said. Officers are continuing to investigate.

Stolen street sign

AMITY >> The Amity Police Department is investigating the theft of a street sign from the 100 block of Indian Run Drive. Sometime between Oct. 7 and Oct. 12, unknown persons removed a large yellow chevron sign used to warn motorists of a sharp left curve, police said. Anyone with information on the identity of the individuals is asked to contact the Amity Township Police Department at 610-689-6002.

Burglary report

NORTH COVENTRY >> North Coventry Police responded to a home in the 1900 block of Shenkel Road for a report of a burglary that had just been discovered. Officers were advised that sometime overnight on Oct. 15 and the early morning hours of Oct. 16, someone had entered into a detached garage on the property. Officers found that the garage and vehicles were gone through and items were removed. The owner of the home believed that the subjects were in the garage between 5:30 a.m. and 6 a.m., police said. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact North Coventry Police. Police are urging all residents to make sure they secure their vehicles and homes.
