Hamburg Area High School Marching Band had a busy weekend, Oct. 13 and 14.
Friday, Oct. 13, was HAHS Marching Band Alumni Night. All Hamburg Marching Band Alumni and Hamburg faculty and staff were invited to join the current HAHS Marching Band on the field and in the stands during the varsity football game against Kutztown.
“We performed “Build Me Up Buttercup” arranged by Allen Gray and “Shut Up and Dance” arranged by Doug Adams on the field during halftime! We had over 20 + alumni join us that evening!” said Hamburg High School band teacher Megan Kline.
Alumni Night is held every year during homecoming weekend. Alumni Night will be tentatively held next year on Friday, Sept. 21, 2018.
On Saturday, Oct. 14, HAHS Marching Band performed at Phantoms game in Allentown.
“The HAHS Marching Band was invited to perform on the concourse of the PPL Center prior to a Phantoms game! We had an excellent hour from 5:30 to 6:30 performing our collection of Marching Band stands tunes. We are so incredibly fortunate to have a very enthusiastic group of students and a wonderfully supportive group of band parents!”
