To help increase our fundraising dollars, we are asking for your support of our 5K Turkey Trot by registering or making a donation on October 17, 2017. Tri-County Network (TCN) is sponsoring a non-profit matching grant campaign, The Amazing Raise, on that date. For more details, visit <www.amazingraisetricounty.org>.

Awards will be presented to the overall male and female winners and the top male and female winners in the following age groups: 10 & under, 11-15 years, 16-19 years, 20-29 years, 30-39 years, 40-49 years, 50-59 years and 60+ years.

The Turkey Trot fundraiser is being held in memory of Clifford Reigner, who was an avid sports enthusiast, athlete and long-time supporter of the Boyertown Community and the sports program.

Cliff graduated from Boyertown Area Senior High in 1963. During his high school years, he earned varsity letters in football and track and field. Following high school, Cliff’s passion for Boyertown Sports continued, and he always could be found in the fan section of home and away games, cheering for football, basketball, wrestling, baseball, lacrosse, field hockey and track for both the boys’ and girls’ teams.

As a supporter of Boyertown sports, he was a member of BAFA, instrumental in the building of the Boyertown football field/stadium and part of the Victory Mile and the Boyertown Wellness Council.

One of his children’s fondest memories of their father was going to the Boyertown High School football games on Thanksgiving Day. It was a tradition that they were sad to see end-and now they hope to launch a new tradition with the Turkey Trot. Bring your family and friends and join us for this fun event at the Boyertown Community Park.

The Wellness Council of Boyertown is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and has developed health-related programming and activities, including a Wellness Fair, Community Field Day and Cross Fit fundraiser for Brendan’s Band, as well as Senior Walking Bingo. Our community track at Memorial Stadium will proudly add the Jerry Karver Track gate in the next sixth months. With your help and support, we will continue to bring programming to families and individuals in all areas of Wellness.
