The Twin Valley Community Education Foundation is excited to announce the 2017 Community Leadership Award winners which will be recognized at the 16th Annual “Little Valley, Big Giving” Fundraising Gala on Friday, Nov. 10.

The event also features a benefit auction to support TVCEF’s annual grant and scholarship programs for Twin Valley schools and students. Community members are invited to attend and celebrate the accomplishments of the award winners. The event will be held at St. Benedict’s newly constructed social hall in Mohnton.

Every year TVCEF honors members of the community who have “made a difference”. Awards will be given to Gary McEwen, Twin Valley School Board President, for Lifetime Achievement, Nancy Schneider, TVMS retired teacher, for Community Educator, Rebecca Johnson, Robeson Elementary Center teacher, for TVSD Alumnus, Ken Ross, Director of the Honey Brook Food Pantry, for Community Volunteer, Jared Lawler, TVHS Alum, for Rising Star Alumnus, Jessica Yount, TVHS Student, for Rising Star (for ages 16-21), and Ryan Kehl, Performance Food Centers/Simple Again, for Community Business. Award recipients have been notified and will be publicly recognized at the event.

Sponsors for the 16th Annual Gala include the following community businesses: Hershey Motors, Tel Hai Retirement Community, Ephrata National Bank, Eshelman Transportation, Glass and Son’s Collision Repair, Misco Products Corporation, Morview Garage in Morgantown, Translogistics, Inc., Krapf School Bus, and Mays, Connard & Rotenberg LLP.

Proceeds from this important event support TVCEF’s Annual Grant program which awards funds to innovative Twin Valley school programs and projects to enhance the educational experience of Twin Valley students. Tickets can be purchased at www.tvcef.org. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner is served at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $70 per person. TVCEF is a non-profit organization providing support to Twin Valley schools, students, and the community in Berks and Chester counties. The mission of the Twin Valley Community Education Foundation is to serve as a link between business, the school district, and the community to provide educational, cultural, and recreational opportunities. TVCEF provides annual grants to Twin Valley schools, scholarships to students, and community programs and classes.
