Hamburg Borough Police Reports

Oct. 28: The Hamburg Police report that on Oct. 28 at about 11 p.m., an incident of Assault with a Weapon was investigated. Police responded to the area of S. 4th Street and Pine Street to help a 31-year-old Reading man, who reported having a laceration to his hand. The victim stated that he was walking on State Street and Primrose Street when he was approached by three juvenile males. One of the males displayed a knife and the victim attempted to defend himself. During the altercation the victim sustained lacerations to his hand and had lost a significant amount of blood. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment. This incident is currently under investigation.

Nov. 1: The Hamburg Police reported that on Nov. 1 at about 3:47 p.m., an incident of Theft was investigated by police. This occurred at the Dollar General in Hamburg when two males and a female entered the store and began taking items out of their packaging and concealing them on their person. When confronted by Dollar General Employees the three subjects fled the scene in a green station wagon. This incident is currently under investigation.
