BIRDSBORO >> State Police are investigating a suspicious death after a woman’s body was found in a wooded area Wednesday.
Police have not released many details on the incident but said in a press release that Birdsboro police were called to 316 W. Main St. (Route 724), at around 11:20 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a body found in a wooded area near Reading Coffee Roasters.
The body was that of a white female, according to authorities. Police have not released a name or age of the deceased.
Local police have turned the investigation over to the Pennsylvania State Police.
The Berks County District Attorney’s Office and the Berks County Coroner’s Office are also involved in the investigation.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area or anyone with information regarding the investigation to call them at 610-378-4011.
