Chestnut Knoll At Home, Gilbertsville, proudly recognized employees for their dedication to caregiving over a significant length of time during the annual “One in a Million Club” luncheon held Thursday, Oct. 18, at Carriage House in East Greenville.

Providing care for individuals in declining age, illness or dementia is a tough and sometimes thankless job, but that does not keep the employees of Chestnut Knoll At Home from going above and beyond their duties. The “One in a Million Club” was created to show appreciation and recognition to employees who have achieved longevity while excelling in their caregiving roles.

Linda Detwiler, director of Chestnut Knoll At Home Services, presented each new honoree with a small plaque. She thanked the group for their continued efforts to providing outstanding, compassionate care to the senior clients in the communities they serve. Employees in the group have provided Chestnut Knoll At Home with six to 10 years of caregiving services.

“It is with our sincere appreciation and gratitude that we recognize our compassionate caregivers for their commitment to the elderly population that we serve in the tri-county area,” said Linda Detwiler, director of Chestnut Knoll At Home. “It is also my privilege to recognize them for their dedication and professionalism, as they have truly made a difference in so many lives over these years.”

This year the club recognized 28 caregivers for their longevity and dedication to the community they serve. Those recognized were: Tracy Brintzenhoff, Patty Brown, Jennifer Dechant, Susan Diminio, Sharon Dotterer, Collene Felton, Diana Gross, Lucy Hartman, Marilyn Herbst, Pat Hunsberger, Carole Kehl, Lisa Kemmerer, Vicky Kulp, Michelle Laird, Lori Lanahan, Kyra Marchesini, Mary Beth Martinez, Diane Moore, Amy Murray, Ifeoma Onukegbe, Judy Soos, Louise Stierley, Karen Strothers, Anna Trout, Mary Weber, Krystal Weller, Kay Wellington and Laura Woodrow.

All recognized caregivers have their name put on a plaque, which is displayed in the Home Care office. Caregivers who have accomplished 11 years of service were honored during the President’s Club luncheon on Wednesday, Oct. 24, at the Yellow House Hotel.
