Alvernia University student Kaitlin Didinger of Boyertown, will participate in a university-funded Franciscan Leadership Pilgrimage in Assisi, Italy, this winter.

Each year, Alvernia offers opportunities for students, faculty and staff to participate in Franciscan Leadership Pilgrimages to Assisi, Italy. Participation is open to those who share in the ministry of education, and funding is provided through the university’s Assisi Fund.

Because Alvernia is dedicated to deepening its identity as a distinctive Franciscan university, the opportunity to make the Assisi pilgrimage is offered without regard to the faith and spirituality of those applying. Students from many disciplines and more than a dozen faculty and staff members have already made the trip. Didinger, studying nursing at Alvernia is one of four students who will set out on a pilgrimage this winter.
