Fleetwood Girl Scout Junior Troop 1793 enjoyed a long Fall day in the great outdoors!
In the morning, the girls had a course on how to read a typographical map, as well as a compass. The girls ran an Orienteering course on the Penn State Berks campus. They enjoyed running the course and finding each flag throughout the course. There were also other interesting finds along the way while on campus. The girls collected leaves along the way and made some flowers from folding and gathering the leaves together.
The Girl Scouts spent the afternoon learning about Geocaching. The girls were instructed on how to utilize a GPS coordinate tracker to help find Geocaches. The Troop found 7 different Geocaches at Grings Mill.
It was an amazing and fun way for them to earn their Junior Outdoor Art and Geocache badges.
