A Berks County woman was killed on Thanksgiving Day following a three-vehicle accident on Route 41 in Atglen.

Carol Ann Rissmiller, 72, of Muhlenberg Township, was transported by Christiana EMS to Lancaster General Hospital, where she died.

Rissmiller was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved in the accident, police said.

According to police, the accident occurred at 3:45 p.m. on Route 41, just south of Lower Valley Road in Atglen.

Police said a vehicle was traveling south on Route 41 and crossed over into the northbound lane and the front portion of the car struck the driver’s side of another car, police said. Due to the impact, the car continued to travel south in the northbound lane, which resulted in the front portion of the first vehicle striking the front portion of another vehicle.

Rissmiller and the driver of one of the other cars, who was not identified, were transported by Christiana EMS to a nearby hospital. The rear passenger from the one of the vehicles was transported to Lancaster General Hospital.

Harassment >> A 52-year-old man from Honey Brook was charged with harassment following an incident at 13 Egan Circle in Honey Brook on Nov. 6 at 7 a.m., police said. The victim is a 46-year-old female.

Harassment >> A 56-year-old man from Pottstown was charged with harassment following an incident at 32 Saddlewood Drive in Warwick Township on Nov. 12 at 6 p.m., police said. The victim is a 51-year-old woman.
