Calling all bakers! Berks-Mont Newspapers has announced its annual Holiday Cookie Contest.
To enter – bake your favorite holiday cookie recipe and bring a sample to our office in Pottstown by Friday, Dec. 8. The tasting judges will sample the cookies and announce the winners in the Dec. 14 issue of The Southern Berks News, The Boyertown Area Times, Community Connection.
Contest Rules:* Drop a sealed disposable container or sealed plastic bag containing six samples of the cookies, along with the recipe, at 24 N. Hanover Street, Pottstown, at or before 10 am, Friday, Dec. 8. No entries accepted late. Judging will be held that afternoon.
* Cookies will be judged by taste & overall appearance.
* Cookie entries are limited to made-from-scratch cookies. Recipes must accompany the entry.
* Bakers must be a resident of one of the newspapers coverage areas.
The first place winner will receive a grocery gift certificate to a local grocery store and a 1-year subscription to any Berks-Mont Newspaper. The winning recipe, along with a picture of the winner, will be published on Dec. 14. Prizes will also be awarded to 2nd and 3rd place.
Hickory Valley Golf Club is the sponsor of this year’s contest.
