Can you Top Josh continues! It is an annual event, C. Ivan Stoltzfus of Honey Brook heads to the woods with his grandchildren Ellie aged 15 and Taylor aged 16. They have been hunting for years and are skilled hunters having bagged many a deer.

The whole family hunts including the children’s parents Earl Martin Jr. and wife Tina Martin (Ivan’s daughter), along with their two other children Tanner and Emily and Earl Martin Sr. They all spent Thanksgiving at their cabin in Potter County.

This is where Emily and Taylor shot their great looking 6 and 8 pointers. Life is good, and venison is on the menu. Congrats to these great hunters. They are following the family hunting tradition.

The Pennsylvania’s Game Commission estimates 550,000 hunters with rifles will take to the woods in search of white-tailed deer this year. The rifle season opened just before sunrise on Monday, Nov. 27 for the 1st day of Buck season and will end Dec. 9. Pennsylvania ranked third in the country’s deer harvest in 2016.

So, keep these photos coming hunters we hear it’s a plentiful year and those big trophies are waiting. And we are waiting to share your stories and photos.
