Chestnut Knoll Personal Care and Memory Care is hosting a book signing with local author Margaret Harner on Sunday, Dec. 17, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 120 W. Fifth St., Boyertown.
Harner, a member of the board of directors of The Boyertown Area Historical Society, has posted daily, interesting, exciting, humorous, and sometimes tragic vignettes about life in historical Boyertown. These exploits, successes, mishaps and antics have brought laughter, tears, admiration or respect for, not just the internationally renowned Boyertonians but also the commoners who have lived here for the past 300 years.
All of the posts have now been published in one volume, “One Day at a Time: A Social History of Boyertown, Pennsylvania,” which includes a dozen new posts, 141 pictures and an index.
