Fleetwood Girl Scout Junior Troop 1793 were surely surprised when their Leader and Assistant Leader did a parent approved sleepover.

This is where the parents know and approve and the leaders show up at the door and surprise the Girl Scout that she has a special overnight adventure ahead! The parents have the permission slip signed and the girls overnight bag packed ahead of time.

The girls had no idea what was ahead! The theme of the sleepover was Merry Christmas. The girls all received a special Christmas hat and off they went. They made Christmas cards, Christmas ornaments, watched “Elf,” shared lots of laughs and the girls earned their Junior Girl Scout Simple Meals badge. The girls cooked pancakes from scratch and made eggs for breakfast for each other in the morning.

They also made lots of Christmas cookies. They learned about reading recipes and mixed and baked Cut out Christmas cookies and Peanut butter cookies with Hershey kisses. The girls were very excited to make such tasty creations and they will never forget their special troop overnight event.
