GILBERTSVILLE >> Meals on Wheels made a few special stops this year, including to the family home of fallen police officer Brad Fox.

Plymouth Township Police, along with a dozen other area departments, made a pre-holiday stop in Gilbertsville Thursday at the home of the Fox family. The visit was part of a Meals on Wheels program where Christmas dinners were delivered to families of fallen officers of local law enforcement agencies.

Police paraded down Fox Lane in Gilbertsville on motorcycles and were greeted with enthusiastic hugs from Fox’s two children, Brad Jr. and Kadence.

Fox was a Plymouth Township Police officer who was fatally shot in the line of duty on Sept. 13, 2012, while responding to a hit-and-run incident. He was survived by his daughter Kadence and wife, Lynsay, who was pregnant at the time with their son, Brad Jr., at the time of Officer Fox’s death.
