Members of Thrivent Financial and their friends and family are joining together to form a Thrivent Action Team in the Morgantown Area. The team, headed up by Bonnie Lauer, is planning to help Safe Berks (formally Berks Women in Crisis) as the recipient of the Action Team items.
Churches and individuals in Birdsboro, Morgantown, Elverson and Honey Brook will be collecting new or gently used and clean women’s sweatshirts and hoodies and accessories for the residents in their emergency shelter and girls’ clothing – 1 year to size 8. Collection starts on Jan. 15 in honor of MLK Day and runs through Jan. 31.
Clothing can be dropped off at the Thrivent Financial office in Morgantown at 3821 Main Street, Morgantown. Call 610-286-5986 for questions, or to schedule your drop off.
Thrivent Action Teams are led by Thrivent members who identify and want to meet an immediate community need. It’s an easy and fun way for Thrivent members to bring their family and friends together to help strengthen their communities.
