EXETER >> Police are looking to identify a suspect who was caught on surveillance robbing a township supermarket.

On Friday, Jan. 12, a white male dressed in a black coat, wearing a grey hat with a black bill, walked into the Redner’s market at 5462 Perkiomen Ave. (Route 422) and displayed a handgun to a cashier. He then addressed the cashier, reached over the counter and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the drawer. The man fled in a waiting vehicle in an unknown direction.

Police are asking that anyone with information on the identity of the suspect contact the Exeter Township Police Department at 610-779-1490 and reference case number 18-0187. Individuals can contact Crime Alert Berks County by texting 847411.
