Fleetwood Girl Scout Junior Troop 1793 earned their Detective badge.
One of the troop dads is a Detective for the Reading Police Department. Detective Perkins came to their troop meeting and discussed safety, what a detective does, what evidence and DNA is.
He set up a crime scene and the girls were the detectives! They wore gloves on their hands and booties over their shoes and collected evidence. They swabbed their evidence for prints and learned the ins and outs of what it means to be a detective.
They asked a lot of great questions about what he does.
At their next meeting, the girls will discuss a little about Morse code to finish up their badge.
