On Feb. 7, during a winter storm, Eastern Berks Fire was dispatched at 11:06 a.m. to a vehicle fire on Woods Lane in rural Washington Township, Berks County.
Reports indicated that the vehicle was a pickup truck. Fire Chief Mike Mutter arrived over snowy, icy roads and reported a working fire.
Apparatus made the approach down a long, winding driveway and stretched an 1 3/4″ line and knocked the fire down quickly. The cab and engine compartments were destroyed.
